This year, as part of our celebration for Children’s Heart Month, ECHO hosted its first ever Valentine’s Super Social at Evelina London Children’s Hospital.
The party took place in the Atrium on Valentine’s Day, and featured a magic show, Punch & Judy, bubbles, disco, themed arts and crafts activities, and a tea party for all the children to enjoy. In the spirit of Valentine’s Day the children were also given the opportunity to write thank you letters to Evelina staff who have helped them at the hospital.
As it took place during the school holidays the Social was a wonderful opportunity for children visiting their siblings in the hospital to enjoy a change of scene. Altogether, thanks to the Evelina play specialists, we made it a really memorable day for the ECHO families that were present.
Super Socials are special events designed to raise awareness and money to help ECHO continue supporting children with heart conditions and their families. You can host your own Super Social; all you need to do is decide when and where and invite friends, family or colleagues along to raise money for ECHO whilst enjoying some delicious nibbles!
