I’ve volunteered with ECHO for about 5 years, a year after my mum began volunteering, she persuaded me and the rest of my family to help out as well!

One of the reasons I volunteer is because ECHO helped me through my own teenage years, which was when I joined ECHO Teens. I was born with a heart condition, so I like being able to help and support others in a similar situation.

I like to make other children and their families smile, and I know it helps them to feel at ease seeing older teenagers with heart conditions.

The reason I really like volunteering with ECHO is because everyone works as a team, making children and their families feel welcome and enjoy their time with ECHO. Everyone is always friendly too!
