After Bekki’s son Henry was treated at the Evelina Lonon Children’s Hospital and had open heart surgery at just 11 days old, Bekki and her husband decided to celebrate his birth a little bit differently.
They held a ‘6 month welcome to the world’ party’, attended by over 70 family and friends, and invited friends and family to donate to ECHO.
“Myself and my husband have been members of ECHO since our son was diagnosed with TGA with a VSD in my 20 week scan last November. Henry was born on 17th March 2019 at St Thomas’ and had open heart surgery at the Evelina at 11 days old.
In total we spent 5 weeks in hospital and we are so grateful for the amazing care of all the staff at the Evelina and the support from ECHO (including the very informative and caring antenatal day).
On 14th September we decided to have a “6 month welcome to the world” party for Henry as a thank you to our friends and family for their support in a difficult time but mainly so that we could raise awareness of the fantastic job that you and the Evelina do.”
Thank you so much to Bekki and family for your support, your donation will help ECHO to support other heart families at times when they need it most.
We were delighted to spend some time with you recently, and present Henry with a fab fundraising certificate.
P.S. We love the ECHO biscuits!
