ECHO gives a HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported our #ImproveOurRooms campaign – which has now raised over £4,600.
Great news – thanks to everyone’s support we have decorated the Parent’s Room on Savannah Ward! Our team cleaned & re-painted & installed new sofa, table & chairs, microwave, toaster, crockery, cutlery, soft furnishings & heart decorations.
This room was so essential when our child had unexpected heart surgery in the summer
Can't stress how vital this space is when your child is in hospital - it's the only place you've got to go for a few minutes of respite.
A big thank you to Whitehead Monckton Solicitors for their large financial contribution to the campaign & for sending volunteers to help redecorate.
We must also thank Evelina London’s facilities team who helped make this happen, and ensured it all ran smoothly!
The room is not 100% finished (we’ll be adding more equipment) – but it’s already much improved and we hope parents are finding it a more relaxing & pleasant place to spend some time.
The campaign is still running because we have more to do: lockers need updating, more new items need purchasing & the parent’s resource room at the ECHO office also needs work: if you can spare any cash please do donate – all money helps to directly support heart families:
