We are delighted to have been supported by Skylark Galleries London who donated 5% of their beautiful summer exhibition to ECHO, raising over £525.
The exhibition is a collection of uplifting and vibrant works from 22 artists. Works available included original paintings and drawings, artist’s hand-pulled prints — such as linocuts and screenprints, as well as mixed media, collage, ceramic and sculptural artworks.
The exhibition ran for 2 weeks and was hosted at the Oxo Tower Wharf on the main ground floor gallery area. In addtion, the Skylark Collective has two permanent galleries nearby: one on the first floor of the Oxo Tower above the gallery@oxo, and the other in Gabriel’s Wharf.
The exhibition launched with a special invite-only evening and drew in hundreds of people every day, on the iconic London South Bank.
ECHO members and supporters were invited to a special morning on Saturday 29th June to tour the galleries and take part in a fun arty activity in the gallery.
Skylark Galleries Director, Gill Hickman says “There is always something new to discover at Skylark Galleries and with 30 artists we have something for everyone’s taste. Our summer exhibition in gallery@oxo will allow us to show larger artworks than we can usually display. We hope that all visitors to the summer exhibition will also take this opportunity to visit our two permanent galleries nearby and see further works and permanent gallery space year round. For this special exhibition at gallery@oxo we are delighted that our charity partner will be ECHO whose mission is to make a difference to the lives of children with heart conditions and their families.”
We at ECHO would like to thank Gill and all of the artists involved for choosing to support ECHO, and being such welcoming hosts for our visitors.
