Today we want to send a special farewell and good luck to outreach nurse Patricia Kenney as she looks forward to her retirement.
Trish has supported so many ECHO heart families throughout her 43 working in the NHS, 38 of which was spent at the Evelina London.
She has been instrumental in developing the role of Cardiac Nurse Specialist (CNS) and in particular she helped to develop the Rapid Access Service which is hugely successful, and she will be greatly missed by her colleagues and the families she has supported.
ECHO heart families shared their messages of thanks and support ❤️
ECHO’s Chief Executive, Samantha Johnson said:
Trish’s dedication to nursing and to providing care to heart families is an inspiration, and on behalf of all of us at ECHO we want to thank Trish for her hard work, care and the difference she has made to the lives of children, young people and their families. We wish her all the best with her retirement, she will be dearly missed but not forgotten by her colleagues and those she has cared for. Thank you Trish!
We are delighted to announce that Trish will be one of next month’s ECHO Excellence Award winners – these awards are nominated by families and colleagues to recognise staff across the Evelina London network hospitals who go above and beyond to provide care for heart families.
