It can be really beneficial for parents and other family members of children receiving care at the Evelina to be able to take some time away from the hospital.
ECHO office
ECHO’s office is just across the road from Evelina London, opposite St Thomas’ Hospital A&E, and our team are always happy to welcome families looking for a break from the hospital. We can offer a chat, and free coffee / tea.
If you would like to visit, let us know by emailing us on hello@echo-uk.org or call our office on 020 7998 4710. By letting us know about your visit in advance we can ensure that a member of the ECHO team is there to greet you.

Reflection Bench
If you need a moment to yourself, it is worth visiting ECHO’s Reflection Bench located in the peaceful and quiet Lambeth Palace Gardens. Just two minutes walk from the Evelina, it is perfect for when you need to get away from the hospital to reflect or clear your head, or just to get some fresh air.
Our Reflection Bench is also often a focal point at our annual remembrance gatherings for bereaved parents and families, and we encourage families who have lost a loved one to visit the bench whenever they wish to.
To get to the bench, head southward on Lambeth Palace Road as you exit the Evelina. The Garden Museum will be on your left, before Lambeth Bridge. You can access the Gardens free of charge through the Garden Museum entrance. Alternatively, you can access them through the light and spacious museum cafe, which not only offers a beautiful view of the Gardens, but also a relaxing place from which to appreciate the solitude and calming nature of the Gardens regardless of the weather.
