Create an online memorial

Creating an online memorial is one way to preserve the memories of your precious child, sibling or family member.

Memorials

Remember someone special

You can set up an online memorial fund to remember babies, children or teenagers who lost their battle with heart disease but live on in your heart, or members of your family who would have wanted to support other heart families.

Bereaved parents have told us that it gives them a positive focus within a difficult situation and can be a fun and rewarding way to keep their child’s name in everyone’s memory.

Money raised will make a huge ongoing difference to the lives of children with heart conditions and their families.

Why set up an online fund?

This allows your family and friends, colleagues or school to show their support and help young people and families facing a difficult journey in the name of someone special to you.

Congenital heart disease is the most common birth defect with almost 1 in 100 babies born with a heart condition – and more who acquire it throughout childhood. ECHO simply cannot provide all of the support needed to every child and family, with your help we can reach out to more families who need us.

Create your fund

Creating your own fund is quick and easy. Just create a page on JustGiving and add your story and pictures.

It’s good to name your fund so it’s easy to find you on JustGiving, for example “In memory of John Jones”.

Share your fund

Once you’ve set up your fund, tell your contacts about it and encourage them to donate and get involved in fundraising activities. You can download an ECHO poster and fill in the name of someone special you’re fundraising for, so you can share a picture of you holding the sign on your social media accounts, you could also put this up on the wall in your office or school.
