Support children and young people with heart conditions, and their families by going Red this February with ECHO.  Wearing Red at School, Work or your weekly club is the easiest way to take part, but you can do other events too – like a Red Bake Sale!

How To Get Involved?

Wear Red!

It’s is easy peasey, just follow these few simple steps …

• Decide where you will have your Wear Red Day – School, College, Work, your weekly Club … wherever you like!
• Speak to your School, Office etc to tell them about Heart Month and ask if they would be happy to choose one day in February where everyone Wears Red for ECHO and donates to the charity
• Choose how much people donate to Wear Red. We suggest a minimum donation of £2
• Get ready to collect donations – remember to have a pot to collect cash donations.

• Check permissions for photos and sharing
  • Check if the School and parents are happy to have a group photo Wearing Red
  • Have photos of those who are happy to have them taken and shared with ECHO

• Dig out your Red clothes – it could be a red t-shirt, jumper, dress, trousers, socks, shoes or a hat – Just Make it Red! The more the better!  If you’re limited to office attire, why not try a red pair of socks or a tie?

Fancy doing something else? The choice is yours but here are some ideas to get your started.

• Get Baking!         Hold your own bake sale; ask friends and family to bake too and donate cakes and biscuits – then sell them to raise funds for ECHO!
• Red Raffle!          Ask your local shops and businesses to donate something Red, and then sell raffle tickets for ECHO!
• Red themed Quiz!            You can do it online or choose a venue like your local pub or hall. Have a red themed round for bonus points!
• Sports Tournaments!       Part of a sports league or do your children play? From footy to swimming, could you gather the troops for a fundraising tournament for ECHO?
• Get musical!       How about a sponsored singathon? Or singing some Red songs?! Think Simply Red and Lady in Red 😊
