Dear ECHO Supporters,

Firstly, Happy New Year! We're so thankful for all we achieved together in 2018 are excited to look forward to the year ahead.

As you may know, February is National Heart Month and 7-14th February is Congenital Heart Disease Awareness Week.

So February is a perfect time to put the focus on raising awareness and vital funds to help us continue supporting the ECHO heart community.

Here's how you can join in...

Let's all go red for Congenital Heart Disease!

Be bold and be loud, let’s all wear red in February and raise the profile of congenital heart disease.

Whether it’s a crimson t-shirt, ruby red jumper or scarlet tie, snap a selfie and tag us @echoukcharity using the hashtag #NationalHeartMonth. If you’re limited to office attire, why not try a red pair of socks or a tie, and encourage colleagues to do the same!

You can also hold your own Super Social event to have fun while helping to raise funds to support heart children.

We've got a template letter you can send to your child's nursery or school, plus an email template to remind colleagues to wear red.

Ready, set...go for ECHO in 2019!

Stay tuned for our next newsletter where we'll be sharing our fundraising events calendar for the year ahead.

Will you be bouncing in a bungee-jump, exploring South Africa by bike in the Big Heart Bike Ride, pounding the pavement in a run, navigating an obstacle course, taking the plunge in a big swim or even trekking across Cambodia?

These are just some of the exciting events you could tackle in 2019 to support heart children all while challenging yourself to a new adventure.

More details to come soon!

P.S. There are a few spaces for this weekend's Teen Hub celebration event...

If you want to attend this weekend's ECHO Teens Hub Celebration, there are still a few spaces remaining on Saturday 12th January.

We're celebrating 1 year since we launched the ECHO Teen Hub and invite you to ‘Come Glide With Us’ above the Thames in the Emirates Air Line cable car and enjoy great views of London before we all come together at The O2 for a late lunch.

Up to 2 parents/carers are invited to join us. It will all be funded by ECHO but any addditional teens and parents are welcome to attend under parent's supervision and cost.

Best wishes from Team ECHO,

Samantha, Emma and Sinéad
