As summer gives way to autumn, we celebrate the adventures and milestones that summer has brought, but also look ahead to what this next season will bring.

In this edition of the ECHO E-News update, we bring you news of an exciting new ECHO project, as well as dates for upcoming events this Autumn!

 
 
 
 

Cardiac Support Worker -     New ECHO Project ...

Evelina Children’s Heart Organisation and Rainbow Trust join forces!

ECHO are pleased to announce an exciting new project! Over the next year we will be working on a pilot with the Rainbow Trust Charity.

ECHO has funded the first EVER cardiac support worker which will support up to 25 families within the M25 area, with direct support both in hospital and in the community.

ECHO Teen Club Half-Term event!

See the flyer below for details of a First-Aid Training Course for young people, taking place during half-term in Brighton, East Sussex.

This course has been tailored specifically to ECHO Teen Club by St. John's Ambulance, and will include instruction on CPR, as well as lots more! Participants will receive a certificate for completing the course!

This event is also open to siblings (who are aged 11-19), including teenagers who may have a younger sibling with a heart condition, and would like to learn first-aid.

Next Transition Information Day

The next Evelina ‘Transition Information Day’ will be held at the Evelina London on: 

Saturday 14th November,    10am-3pm.

The transition information day is for both young people and parents. The aim of the day is to give information, answer questions, and to build confidence about the process of transition from child to adult services.

ECHO Challenge

A reminder that the ECHO Challenge Fun Run is also taking place next month, on 17th October, and its not too late too sign up or recruit a friend to run!

Registration is from £5, and there is no fixed fundraising target - simply have fun, meet others, and raise what you can!

The ECHO Christmas Party will again be held at Millwall F.C. this year on Sunday 29th November. More details, and registration to follow soon!
