ECHO SUMMER E-NEWS

The warm weather has definitely arrived, and just in time for the ECHO Family Adventure Day and ECHO Teen Club Residential, coming up this weekend!

We are all looking forward the day, and we hope it will be a wonderful opportunity to meet other heart families, and to have an enjoyable family day out.

The weather forecast is for another hot day on Saturday, so please do remember to bring sun cream, hats and bottles of water.

Outpatient Appointment Update

Following feedback from ECHO members, Dr Owen Miller, Head of Service, Fetal and Paediatric Cardiology, and Samantha Johnson, ECHO Director of Operations, invited parent representatives along to a meeting to discuss concerns expressed by ECHO members about the current outpatient appointment system ‘Horizon Booking’.
 
 
 

The Evelina London are aware of the difficulties that some families’ are still facing and together with ECHO are working on ways to help improve the accessibility of clinics, notice times and communication. You can view the full meeting notes and action points here:

Staff Update

ECHO would like to inform members that Rachel Davy is no longer in post as Volunteer Services and Memberships Manager at ECHO.

We wish Rachel the very best of luck for her future and thank her for what she has brought to the charity during her time with us.
