Come and celebrate our birthday next month!

Next month, we turn 36 years old and we would love to celebrate with you.

Come along to Archbishop's Park, right next to Evelina London Children's Hospital and the ECHO office, and take on the zipwire - or bring a picnic and enjoy while cheering the others on!

Register your team at the ECHO Dragon Boat Race Challenge!

There are still spaces for our first  Dragon Boat Race Challenge - gather up friends, family or colleagues and paddle it out to win the challenge and go home with a trophy.

Not interested in paddling? You and your family are welcome to come along, enjoy some other activities on the day and watch the race!

Getting pampered at the ECHO Wellbeing Day

Earlier this month we held the first ECHO Wellbeing Day, where families took part in parent and child first aid course plus mindfulness sessions and some relaxation and beauty treatments, thanks to Aurora Wellbeing.

There is a second Wellbeing Day on Saturday 26th October in Kent, from 10-4pm at Kent Life Farm, Lock Lane, Sandling, Maidstone ME14 3AU.

If you're interested in attending, book as soon as possible to confirm your place.

22 ECHO Teens climbed over the O2 arena!

A group of incredible heart teens plus volunteers from World Pay and a team of police officers took on the Up & Over Challenge and climbed over the O2 in aid of ECHO - and they raised just under £5,000!

We want to send a massive THANK YOU to everyone who got involved, climbed, fundraised, and came along to support on the day.

There are a number of ECHO Teens events coming up, including a beach day trip and a Teens Hub session at the ECHO office.

We celebrated National Volunteer's Week

June 1-7 was National Volunteer's Week and we celebrated by inviting volunteers to a BBQ and tour of the new Evelina Sky ward.

We'd like to thank ALL of our volunteers who support the ECHO heart community in a range of ways.

Thank you for your dedication to ECHO!

We always need volunteers to help at events, or give your specific set of skills or interest to help the heart community. If you have an idea or want to hear about volunteering opportunities, get in touch.

Heart Dad Mark shares his story on Father's Day

This month on Fathers' Day we shared heart Dad Mark's story, as he recalls his experience when unborn son Alfie was diagnosed with a serious heart condition.

Now a teenager, Alfie is thriving and Mark and his family are so proud of all that he does - including recently completing his Duke of Edinburgh award after 2 days of hiking.

Now, Mark is doing is own epic challenge, in aid of ECHO - by jumping out of a plane in September!

Want to share your story?

Your story can help us to raise awareness of congenital heart disease and what we do at ECHO. Get in touch at sinead@echo-uk.org.

Best wishes from Team ECHO,

Samantha, EmmaSinéad and Kate
