Get colleagues together to raise funds for ECHO and encourage awareness of children’s heart conditions.
Below are some ideas, if you think of any more we’d love to hear them!
The Great WORK Bake Off!
A fab competition to see who can bake the best! Charge by the slice and enjoy the tasting.
Who’s got the most willpower!
Challenge your workmates to give up their guiltiest pleasures for one month and set up an honesty box for those who can’t resist temptation.
Fantasy Sports tournament
If there’s a big sporting tournament coming up soon why not set up a Fantasy Tournament – but instead of the winner taking all, it’s donated to ECHO instead!
Who’s that baby?
Ask people to bring in their baby photos and set up a competition to see who can identify the most people correctly!
Office Come Dine with Me
Encourage your food-loving colleagues to cook a dish for a lunchtime competition, and ask for a donation to take part.
Purchase step counters and challenge the office to see who gets the highest amount of steps walked per week. This can be a rolling monthly challenge (perhaps with a small prize for the winner!) with the rest going in the ECHO collection box.
Put together a basket of donated goodies and set up a raffle in your workplace.
Dress Down / Dress Up Day
Whether you want to see everyone in their pyjamas or their party gear – make the choice and ask everyone to give a donation to take part.
Cash Collection Days
Why not challenge your team to shake a tin on ECHO’s behalf? Make it more interesting and make it competitive! Split into teams – whichever team collects the most wins! Teams could collect at tube or train stations, shopping centres or on high streets.
Remember that for some public locations you need to get permission from your Local Authority or Council in advance.
For lots of the above activities we’d suggest asking for a donation to take part, but why not boost the money you raise by placing a collection box at work or holding a raffle or sweepstake?
Don’t forget to tell people why you have decided to raise money for ECHO as this often helps people make that important decision to donate.
Remember to ask if your employer has a matched funding scheme – if they do, it might mean you double your total!
