On 13th April 2019 and 16th November 2019 there will be an information day held at Ronald McDonald House, for 14-16-year-olds transitioning from children’s to adult cardiology services.

These days are not clinics but designed to give you the information you need to prepare for the process of moving from paediatric cardiology to adult cardiac services.

You will have the opportunity to discuss any worries and concerns about this move and meet the team that will be involved in your child’s care once they are transitioned into the adult cardiac services. The transition team will also be giving you useful information about lifestyle choices and decisions which may impact on their future health and well-being.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided during the day. If you have any dietary requirements please bring your own food.

Time is limited during these days and we cannot address all individual needs, if required, we can provide some time at the end of the day.

Due to the space, one parent per child is welcome to attend. If a young person needs both parents there, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate. Please note that parents are also welcome to come without their child if this is more convenient.
