ECHO is launching a new series of interactive online workshops as part of the ECHO Happiness Hub, focusing on wellbeing, creativity, learning and self-care.
Each 30 minute session will be led by a creative professional encouraging you and your families to enjoy a new experience – join to take part for some relaxation and to learn skills in origami making, drawing and the art of listening and sound!
These workshops are hosted in partnership with our friends at the Centre for Medical Engineering at King’s College London and later in the series we will be joined by some scientists to hear about their work.
All workshops will be streamed live on ECHO’s Facebook and YouTube, so you will not need to switch on your own camera at any time. You are welcome to interact during live sessions by using the chat feature to write any questions or feedback. All sessions will be available to watch any time after the livestream.
Event dates: 19 Jan, 26 Jan, 2 Feb, 9 Feb, 16 Feb, 23 Feb, 2 March, 9 March, 16 March, 23 March, 30 March, 6 April 2021
Time: 2.00-2.30pm
Where: Live and on catch-up on Facebook and YouTube
Workshop 8: Space and Form Drawing with Jenny joined by Guest Scientist
Jenny will guide you through step by step simple drawing activities that require no artistic experience! The activities planned are aimed at exploring form, space and the way simple line drawing techniques can be used to relax and relieve stress. A series of easy, abstract, thought provoking drawing challenges and techniques that focus on process rather than outcome and swapping the focus of ways to draw with non dominant hand. Scientist Suzette Lust will also join us to chat about her research exploring how our blood flow affects the cells which make up our blood vessels.
Materials required? All you need is paper and some felt tip pens!
