ECHO is delighted to host Opening Doors – a free online event for parents, carers, families and the wider ECHO heart community. We will connect, hear from medical, scientific and ECHO staff about their experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic and take time to look to the future together.

At ECHO we know that for many families the doors to our homes have remained closed, while medical professionals have continued providing their essential services.
Many families affected by CHD have experienced isolation, uncertainty and fear of the unknown. Opening Doors is a space for us all to unite and send the reminder that you are not alone – the doors to medical and community support are still open.
Opening Doors brings together different individuals from across departments within the Evelina London hospital networks and scientists at Kings College London’s Centre for Medical Engineering. We will hear behind the scenes stories about their important work which has continued during the past 18 months.
This event will also be an opportunity to connect virtually with other ECHO members in the comments section and meet the ECHO team. Learn about how our work has changed due to the pandemic and about some exciting new services we look forward to launching soon!
The ECHO team will be answering your questions in the comments throughout the livestream. Say hello in the comments during and after the event and leave a question or idea. We would love to hear your thoughts.
During the event we will take part in a calming, creative hands-on workshop together led by a professional, Nikki, who will show us how to make our own beautiful heart-shaped wreath arrangement.

If you applied before 1 November you will be entered into our draw to receive a free wreath-making kit; we have limited availability so will be using a random name selector to choose 75 families who will receive the kit by post. Your name and contact details will only be used to contact you about this event and to email you a reminder about the Opening Doors event and how to join on the day. We will not store, share or use your contact information for any other purpose.
