ECHO Teens V&A Visit: Inside the Heart
- 21st September 2019
10:30 am - 2:30 pm
Have you ever wondered how it feels to stand inside a pumping heart?
Join ECHO Teens for a trip to London’s V&A Museum on Saturday 21st September 2019, and visit a brand new interactive installation ‘Kalostasis‘ – showing the unseen flow of the heart.
Kalostasis takes you on a journey inside the aorta, the largest artery of our body, to observe the fast blood flow passing through the heart. The installation translates scientific data into an immersive experience through touch, sight and sound. Part of London Design Festival at the V&A.
Date: Saturday 21st September 2019
Agenda: Meet our Youth Support Workers Tania and Michelle at 10.30am at Ben’s Cookies directly outside South Kensington tube station ( Ben’s Cookies, 9 Pelham St, South Kensington, London SW7 2ND).
We will then walk together to the V&A (5mins) and get an exciting look inside the installation from 11am-12.30pm.
At 12.30 we will head for lunch at Byron Burger at 93-95 Old Brompton Road, London SW7 3LD until 2.30pm. Parents, please meet us at Byron Burger after lunch at around 2.30pm.
This project is funded by King’s College London and the Wellcome Trust. Supported by ECHO (Evelina Children’s Heart Organisation) and British Heart Foundation.
