Join the 4th annual BMXLife Bunny Hop and support ECHO!

This Easter on Saturday 31st March 2018 hundreds of BMX bike riders dressed as the Easter Bunny will be taking to the streets to raise money for ECHO – for the 4th annual BMXLife Bunny Hop.

ECHO are seeking volunteers to assist with this event by cheering the bikers on and travelling with them on the route – if you’re interested in collecting on behalf of ECHO on the day please contact emma@echo-uk.org 

The group will be BMX’ing around Central London starting from Leake Street under Waterloo train station, using a mixture of cycle paths and main roads on an 8-mile cruise taking in lots of London’s landmarks and bridges. The cyclists will be holding a bunny hop competition at the Albert Memorial which is open to all. We seriously recommend the use of cycle helmets for all. We cannot emphasise enough, how much care should be taken whilst navigating London’s busy roads and intersections. Please take care.

The ride-out is themed on Easter with riders encouraged to wear bunny costumes. The group will be delivering arts and crafts as well as some Easter eggs to  ECHO for use by children staying at Evelina London Children’s Hospital.

This will be the 4th Bunny Hop ride-out organised by BMXLife for ECHO – last Easter weekend was a huge success with a turn out of over 200 Rabbits on BMXs – and other brilliant costumes too.

The BMXLife Team began these events following the near fatal heart attack of Tommy Wright. His father Stephane, alongwith the rest of his family, wanted to give something back after the support they had received at Evelina London Children’s Hospital – and so began BMXLife – which has since raised over £60,000 for ECHO!
